Episode Overview
The two-night finale of "So You Think You Can Dance?" kicked off with host Cat Deeley surprising everyone right from the beginning. In a bid to switch things up—possibly to fill the two-hour slot—each dancer would perform alongside every other dancer. This meant the two female contestants would pair up, as would the two male contestants, making Lance Bass's rumored pairing on "Dancing with the Stars" seem less unique. During the intro, there was no mention of Twitch and Joshua's recent hospitalization due to dehydration during rehearsals. Guest judge Mandy Moore joined the regulars, Mary Murphy and Nigel Lythgoe, and Cat quickly introduced the first performance featuring Courtney and Twitch.
