Episode Overview

After a teenage girl comes home from an underage nightclub to discover her parents have been murdered, the hunt for the killer takes Horatio to New York City. Meanwhile, New York detectives, led by Detective Mac Taylor, are called to probe the shooting of an undercover officer who becomes the prime suspect in the Miami case. However, the medical examiner reveals the officer has been deceased for 72 hours, making him impossible to have committed the Miami murders. As the investigation unfolds, Horatio and Mac uncover that the true murderer killed the New York cop and assumed his identity to evade capture.
