Episode Overview

The CSIs suspect that a deliberately set blaze in the Everglades is a cover-up for a murder. Local inmates are enlisted to assist in battling the wildfire. As the chaos unfolds, a serial killer escapes, prompting Horatio to race against time to apprehend him before he can kill again. Meanwhile, the discovery of a murdered college student complicates matters, as the fire has obliterated crucial evidence at the crime scene. However, the investigation takes a turn when the team stumbles upon an illegal moonshine operation and homemade ammunition, revealing the true motive behind the student’s presence in the area.
