In the inaugural episode of Roadkill Garage, David Freiburger and Steve Dulcich tackled a budget-friendly rebuild of the 351 Cleveland engine in Freiburger's 1967 Mercury Cougar. However, what truly stood out were Dulcich’s wild powershifts in the car's Top Loader four-speed transmission. Fast forward 22 episodes, and both the Cougar and the iconic gear-crunching action return! This time, though, the Cougar is owned by Dulcich, and the duo is swapping out the tired Cleveland for a powerful 450hp, 363ci Windsor-based stroker small-block. That Top Loader never saw it coming!
