Even Stevens (2000)

Episode Overview

Mrs. Stevens encourages Ren to accept an internship with a city councilman, even though her plate is already full. To keep her mother happy, Ren agrees. Meanwhile, Louis suspects Ren is hiding something. When he discovers another girl got the internship instead of Ren, he starts spying on her. He follows her to Tokyo Rick's, where he’s startled to find her performing onstage as "Isis." To tease her, Louis puts up posters at school promoting her show and convinces his parents to visit the restaurant. Upset, Ren calls him a "nothing boy," but later apologizes, revealing she sings to cope with her stress. Louis tries to prevent his parents from arriving, but they’ve already made it there and spot Ren. After some awkward explanations, the four of them end up together.
