Even Stevens (2000)

Episode Overview

Louis attempts to charm his dad into buying him a pre-owned Sludgee machine from the store, but Mr. Stevens only responds with three words: get a job. Ren, serving as a volunteer career counselor at school, manages to line up three job opportunities for Louis, including a paper route labeled "journalism," but he fails at all of them. In a moment of inspiration, Louis decides to start a dog-sitting service. The house soon becomes chaotic with excited dogs, driving Ren up the wall. When Louis can't find one dog by the end of the day, Ren saves the day by locating "Poopsie." Meanwhile, Donnie and Mr. Stevens dig out an unfinished birdhouse project. As they work together, they remember why it was left undone. It isn’t until they take a few swings with hammers that they finally mend their relationship.
