Episode Overview
Ren is excited to catch her favorite newscaster, Cynthia Mills, but her enthusiasm is dampened by Louis and Twitty, who are obsessed with the goofy weatherman, Zippy Winds. She reveals that she's entering a student newscasting contest with a chance to meet Cynthia, which thrills the boys, as they see it as a way to meet Zippy. The next day, while filming her audition tape with Tawny at school, Louis doubts her choice of subject and hatches a plan involving their annoying neighbor, Beans. They feed Beans ridiculous facts through an earpiece, making him sound brilliant, and Ren decides to feature him in her tape. Meanwhile, Donnie is sneaking in some viewing of a tape titled "Look Smart, Be Smart," which offers shallow tips on appearing smarter. He tries out his new persona on Ren and their parents, but they aren’t impressed.
