Episode Overview
The Lawrence Jr. High baseball team is on the verge of losing after squandering a significant lead. In a desperate move, Coach Tugnut decides to put Twitty on the mound, despite him not pitching all season. To everyone’s surprise, Twitty strikes out the remaining batters and secures the win. The following day at school, he receives praise from classmates, but Louis’s comments about Twitty being the team's key player make him anxious. This newfound pressure leads to a disastrous performance in the next game, while Artie Ryan broadcasts Twitty’s struggles. Upset, Twitty blames Louis for his poor pitching. Feeling down at home, Twitty is visited by Tawny and Louis, who try to lift his spirits. Tawny proposes a "behavior modification" plan, rewarding good thoughts while punishing bad ones with a whiff of Louis's old socks!
