Episode Overview
Ren and Principal Wexler are thrilled when the renowned actor Barry Hudson Jr. arrives at Lawrence Jr. High to help judge auditions for the new Sacramento Arts Conservatory for Creative Youth, or "SACCY." State Senator Eileen Stevens quickly swoops in and takes Barry on a school tour, much to Ren's dismay. Meanwhile, Tom Gribalski is eager to audition, but Louis and Twitty mock his aspirations during lunch. Frustrated with her friends' immature antics, Tawny stands up for Tom and confronts the boys. At the audition, Tom, accompanied by his mother Doris on piano, sings off-key, prompting Louis and Twitty to leave. However, Tawny unexpectedly takes the stage for a heartfelt dramatic monologue, captivating the audience and earning a standing ovation. Louis begins to see Tawny in a new light.
