The Sea Beyond (2020)

Episode Overview

Carmine is back at the IPM, joining Filippo in solitary confinement. Aware of the dangers they face, Carmine urges Filippo to confess and save himself, but Filippo refuses, insisting they will stick together until the very end, feeling empowered by their unity. Meanwhile, Ciro orchestrates a rebellion to free Carmine and Filippo from isolation, successfully taking over the Institute’s canteen. However, Massimo quickly realizes Ciro’s plan and moves the two boys from solitary to the ceramics workshop. In a desperate move, Ciro takes Paola hostage, threatening her life unless she reveals the boys' location. Massimo attempts to rescue her, but it’s Beppe who ultimately cracks and discloses where they’re hiding, leading to a tense confrontation.
