Louis finds himself being questioned by the police regarding what transpired the night Jessie was attacked, claiming he spotted Julian when he was supposed to be en route to Paris. During a Christmas Lunch performance at the Imperial Hotel, the band feels a sense of unease as a group of racist Germans abruptly leaves. However, Stanley later devises an appropriate retaliation. At Lady Cremone's New Year's Eve bash on her estate, guests are taken aback when Julian arrives, revealing he's been in France pursuing a new business venture.
