Episode Overview

After the landlord's passing, everyone, including Sandra, assumes that she will take over as the new landlord. She tells Mary that once she steps into the role, Mary will need to start looking for a new place when her lease expires. At the will reading, the shocking news reveals that the building has been left to Rose instead. Meanwhile, believing Sandra would inherit the property, Mary had brought in a building inspector to assess 227. The inspector reveals that the building requires extensive repairs, which the tenants simply cannot afford.
