Episode Overview

Sandra is working on a romance novel featuring characters inspired by her friends from 227: Marie, Rosita, and Pearlie Mae. As Mary prepares to compete against Emma Johnson for the presidency of the Ladies' Auxiliary, she grows anxious when Emma gets her hands on Sandra's manuscript. When Sandra visits the Jenkins' home, she presents Emma with the latest chapter, which introduces a new character named Emily, strikingly similar to Emma herself. This revelation prompts Emma to reconsider her plans to tell the Rev. and ultimately leads her to withdraw from the presidential race. As a result, Mary is elected president.
