Episode Overview
Sandra appears on Love Connection and opts for Gary, the owner of a jewelry store, as her date. When he arrives, Mary is at Sandra's apartment to welcome him, having to deal with a prank where Sandra glued Mary's phone to her fingernail. Instead of dining out, Gary offers to cook for Sandra, but she realizes her fridge is empty. Desperate, she heads to the Jenkins' to "borrow" some food. While in the kitchen, Lester shows up with a loan officer, who turns out to be Gary's ex-wife! Mary tries to keep them hidden until Cynthia leaves, but she unexpectedly returns, spots Gary, and angrily cancels the deal, even throwing a pie at him. Later, Cynthia returns to apologize but finds Gary kissing Sandra, prompting her to call off the deal again, leading to a heated argument outside 227. Ultimately, Sandra discovers Gary's true identity.
