Episode Overview
When Sojiro catches the group sneaking into his house, he shares the backstory behind Futaba's struggles as a shut-in. He reveals that her issues began after she witnessed her mother, Wakaba, appear to take her own life, leading to hallucinations that started a few months ago. Despite Sojiro's request for them to stay out of Futaba's affairs, the gang decides to help her after discovering she has a Palace. During their visit as the school break begins, they learn she views her home as a tomb and feels as though she is dying. Upon entering her Palace, they confront her troubled mental state. Eventually, after being blocked from her room, the group returns to the real world and persuades Futaba to let them in. With some encouragement, she finally opens up and asks them to change her heart.
