Episode Overview
During Macky’s family’s Passover celebration, Portia introduces her Roman tutor, Lydia, to the gathering. Leah instantly recognizes Lydia from a past incident at a sweatshop, causing her to feel a deep sense of dread. As the family shares tales of the Burning Bush and their journey from Egypt, Leah remains quietly apprehensive. Lydia, fearing exposure of the illegal operation by Leah and Portia, enlists Tobias to threaten Samuel and the entire family. A humorous yet tense chase unfolds as Tobias tries to locate Leah but fails, attempting to deceive Samuel in the process. Portia bravely alerts Samuel about the impending danger. Frustrated, Tobias eventually departs. Realizing the mounting risks, Samuel, wanting to underscore the need for a fresh start, recounts the poignant story of the Last Supper shared by Jesus and his disciples.
