Shawn begrudgingly takes on a private client who insists that a ghost is out to get him, especially after Lassiter dismisses him and Gus from the far more intriguing investigation of a murdered psychologist. As Shawn delves into this unusual case, he finds that the two investigations are surprisingly connected, and there's a chance he might still crack the police's case while working on the ghostly mystery.
