Episode Overview
Virginia City faces a wave of crime led by Sam Bryant and his crew. Tensions rise when one of his associates, Farmer Perkins, murders a shopkeeper. During the trial, the victim's wife hesitates to take the stand due to fear. With Perkins sentenced to death, Bryant kidnaps Ben, demanding his release in exchange for Perkins. This dire situation forces Adam to confront one of the hardest choices he’s ever had to make. The episode features an impressive ensemble cast.
