Adam represents Annie O'Toole in court, where Judge Ben Cartwright is presiding. Annie has arrived at the Washoe Diggings, armed with a mining claim that belongs to her boyfriend, Swede Lundberg. However, Swede has two claims and sold one to a mutual friend, Gregory Spain, leading to a complicated dispute that only Judge Cartwright can resolve.
