Candy inherits a substantial fortune from an Indian he aided and decides to leave his job at the Ponderosa. He takes a position as a vice president with a land promoter who is marketing attractive, fertile land. However, when it comes to light that the promoter is actually peddling worthless desert, Candy joins forces with the Cartwrights to reveal the fraud and bring the scammer to justice.
