Jamie adopts a young Irish setter pup, and a deep connection quickly develops between them. However, the pup's original owner discovers that it is at the Ponderosa and comes to retrieve it—with the intention of putting it down due to its status as a runt and perceived lack of quality. The puppy now faces a desperate struggle for its life.
