Episode Overview

Abandoned in the desert by two thieves who steal his $5,000 and horse, Adam is on the brink of death when he encounters an eccentric prospector named Kane. In exchange for three days of labor at his mine, Kane offers Adam a mule and supplies. However, Kane reveals his true nature as a deranged captor, subjecting Adam to torment in a twisted experiment meant to demonstrate that anyone, even a logical man like Adam, can be driven to murder. This episode is a favorite of Pernell Roberts, alongside “The Wooing Of Abigail Jones.”
