Episode Overview

Wendy Daniels, a young woman filled with admiration, arrives in Virginia City to reunite with her father, Taylor Daniels, who has been away on business for the past five years. Joe finds himself drawn to Wendy, but he quickly discovers he’s not the only one vying for her heart. She speaks highly of her father and his impressive business ideas, despite their long separation. The Cartwrights begin to sense trouble when Wendy's affluent father fails to provide for her, leaving her without money and eventually evicted from her hotel. Joe brings her to the Ponderosa, where her illusions are shattered when her father appears, completely broke.
