Title: Dark Enough to See the Stars Plot: A young boy named Billy Wilcox stumbles onto the Ponderosa, weak, famished, and abandoned. Ben Cartwright discovers him and, once Billy recuperates, extends a job offer. Meanwhile, Jennifer Yardley, who is visiting with her father, takes an interest in Billy. However, Billy is preoccupied with the arrival of a local sheriff, as he has a troubling history: he once took a man's life in self-defense and fled from the consequences.
