For Halloween, Tessa decides to embrace the persona of a "suburban girl," but her costume takes a haunting turn, unsettling her friends and the entire school as it brings to mind a recently deceased member of Chatswin. Meanwhile, George is on a mission to show his Halloween-averse friend Dallas that fear can be enjoyable. However, he gets a fright himself when Dallas' husband, Steven Royce (guest star Jay Mohr), returns unexpectedly from one of his frequent business trips.
