Episode Overview
Michael Murray is in a state of desperation and sends Philip, the researcher, on a quest to locate three individuals: his missing brother Franky, the council car, and their mother, along with Eileen Critchley. Meanwhile, Frank Twist informs Jim Nelson about an urgent local party meeting filled with "new members"—the troublemakers under Peter's influence. Barbara struggles to retrieve Mr. Weller's old school records for Michael and Eileen, but Weller hands over the damning documents to Jim on the eve of his vacation. Lou Barnes tells Barbara that they’ve pushed Murray to his limits, but without Weller's files, they need to ease up on him for now, leaving the task to Barbara. It seems like it might be Michael's fortunate night.
