Niamh has made the tough decision to leave BallyK, prompting Brian to put Fitzgerald's up for sale. Two potential buyers emerge: a retired civil servant from Dublin, who irritates Brian with his talk of modernizing the pub, and Oonagh Dooley, who values the establishment's familial charm. Brian finds himself drawn to Oonagh, unaware that she is married to his old rival, Paul Dooley. When the deal with the civil servant falls apart, Brian offers Oonagh the chance to rent the pub, allowing Niamh to retain some influence. Meanwhile, Emma and Sean clash over driving lessons and Sean's relationship with Niamh, leaving Emma frustrated with Sean's lack of initiative. Niamh appreciates Aidan's support in her journey toward independence.
