Gaz hasn’t reached out to Donna since their date, aiming to keep things casual. While the girls weigh themselves, Louise discovers she’s heavier than she was at 14, prompting her to start a strict diet and exercise plan. Frustrated by Gaz’s silence, Donna decides to visit him, only to receive a call from her mom inviting him over for dinner to meet the family, including Donna's bold sister, Katie. Meanwhile, Jonny, taking Gaz’s advice, is trying to play hard to get with Janet but ends up going missing, forcing everyone to abandon their plans to search for him.
