Episode Overview

Captain Stubing receives a letter from his daughter, Vicki, but when he tries to reach her, he discovers she has run away from her aunt and uncle's home. Shortly after, she finds him on the ship and reveals that she has discovered her mother’s diary, which has revealed that Stubing is her father. Although she wants to stay with him, he believes it’s best to return her. Vicki's aunt shares that she’s going through a divorce and wants to send her kids away to shield them from the turmoil. Excited about the possibility of living together on the ship, Vicki and the captain are hopeful. Meanwhile, Julie tries to help two awkward, old-fashioned individuals navigate modern romance, while a man and a woman who served on the same jury clash over their differing opinions on a case that ended in a mistrial.
