After her divorce, Marian reconnects with her son Danny, who ends up reading her diary and starts distancing himself from her. Meanwhile, Gopher and Isaac suspect that Lola is plotting to murder her husband, Orville, in order to claim his fortune. Bert finds himself smitten with Marla and decides to pose as her pen pal to get closer to her.
