As Callie prepares for her board exam, Jim is drawn into the investigation of a murdered entrepreneur who established a surf apparel brand and was set to provide a life-changing endorsement to a promising local surfer. Jim grows increasingly irritated by Callie's silence, while a caring Jennifer offers her support. Confronted with the possibility of Callie's move to Atlanta, which would distance her from their life in Palm Glade, Jim finds himself at a crossroads, forced to evaluate the future of their relationship.
