Unhappily Ever After (1995)

Episode Overview

Jack, frustrated that his boss—who happens to be Jennifer's dad—won't lend him a car, opts to buy a moped instead. Meanwhile, Jennifer finally persuades her mother, who had extended her two-week visit to six weeks, to head home. Just as Maureen is about to leave, Jack accidentally crashes into her with his moped, which makes her decide to stay longer with Jennifer. To avoid any legal troubles from Maureen that could jeopardize Jennifer's belongings, Jennifer suggests Jack start calling her "mom," a title he has never used before. The episode also features a whimsical daydream sequence where Jack imagines various scenarios of getting rid of Maureen throughout his life.
