Episode Overview

Carol suggests the idea of giving fewer presents, which prompts Frank to reveal his 20% discount at Hartman's Toy Store due to his recent remodeling job there. They both mistakenly think the other has bought Brendan's train set, so they decide not to get it. On Christmas Eve, they discover their error and, using Frank's key, sneak into the toy store to leave money in the register. However, Deputy Barney Feif catches them, and they end up in jail. While the kids unwrap their gifts unaware of their parents' predicament, Cody reminds them that Christmas is about joy and family. Realizing their mistake, the kids rush to the jail with food and carols. Barney eventually releases them, and they all return home together to celebrate Christmas.
