In a flashback, Mort and his buddy Mark (Bradley Whitford) sneak away to a retreat in the woods where cross-dressing is embraced, and Mort is instantly drawn to a warm-hearted woman named Connie (Michaela Watkins). Meanwhile, 13-year-old Ali, feeling abandoned after calling off her Bat Mitzvah, encounters danger when she crosses paths with an older man at the beach.
