Jake splurges on a lavish present for Allison, but his excitement is cut short when a thief snatches it away. Meanwhile, the Mayor ends up in a tricky situation and turns to Jake for assistance, pleading for his discretion. Mal struggles to keep a fib from his children, finding it harder than he expected. On another front, Leslie grows increasingly paranoid, convinced that someone is tailing her.
