Overview
Charlie Jade follows a detective from a parallel universe, portrayed by Jeffrey Pierce, who becomes stranded in our reality. Set against the stunning backdrop of Cape Town, South Africa, this sci-fi series blends Canadian and South African talent, produced with support from CHUM Television and the South African Industrial Development Corporation. Special effects were crafted by Montreal's Cinegroupe, under the guidance of Michel Lemire. Debuting on the Canadian Space Channel on April 16, 2005, the show later reached audiences in Europe, Japan, and the U.S., although its American airing faced schedule challenges after an initial two episodes.
