In 1933, lawlessness and corruption ran rampant across major cities like Chicago, New York, St. Louis, Detroit, and Kansas City. However, one exception stood out: a nameless city on the East Coast where citizens successfully ousted corruption through the ballot box. Federal agent Arnold Wainwright had managed to keep organized crime at bay there. Yet, on October 22, his efforts came to a violent end when he was gunned down by machine-gun fire while enjoying a coffee in a local café.
