The Grand Master selects Cyrax and Sektor to embody the Lin Kuei's future, but Cyrax is reluctant to undergo a cybernetic change that would wipe his memories and convert him into a ruthless fighting machine. As he battles a familiar-looking cyborg, Sektor struggles to maintain Cyrax's focus on defeating Hydro, urging him not to dwell on his own identity or the fate that awaits them both.
