Kurt is thrown into turmoil when his father, Marcus, unexpectedly reappears in Grand Star after a decade. Palidor enlists Marcus to uncover the identities of his adversaries on the Council during a gathering hosted by Damien at the Cabaret. Marcus engages in discussions with key figures about topics like solar energy, while his aides, equipped with hidden cameras, relay these conversations straight to Palidor. Cal and Kurt discover Marcus’s scheme and confront him, compelling him to turn against Palidor. In light of his precarious situation, Marcus chooses to flee to the underworld.
