David sets up a surveillance system in their home to keep an eye on everything happening downstairs. Both he and Amy become frustrated when they overhear their children making negative remarks about them. When Emily hosts a party, David and Amy decide to use the surveillance system to keep tabs on the event. During the gathering, Joe attempts to win Mary's affection, while Matthew asks Emily to go to the junior prom with him.
