Episode Overview

A troubled expectant mother has suffered a miscarriage, and Violet finds herself trying to persuade her that her baby requires surgery. At the same time, Cooper faces the difficult task of informing a patient that he must undergo jaw surgery because of an aggressive cancer. Dell struggles with the pain of his daughter's absence as his ex relocates for a new job. Meanwhile, Sam and Addison wrestle with their emotions as they try to suppress their feelings for two people they cannot have.
