Hawkeye devises a ruse by inventing a fictitious doctor named Captain Jonathan S. Tuttle to funnel medical supplies to the local orphans. When Henry decides he wants Tuttle to be the officer of the day, Hawkeye fabricates a complete personnel file, ensuring that Tuttle’s back pay is donated to the orphanage. When General Clayton seeks to commend Tuttle's generosity, Hawkeye must concoct a wild tale about Tuttle parachuting from a helicopter without a parachute! Meanwhile, Trapper's new acquaintance, Captain Murdoch, has gotten hold of the counterfeit dog tags and parachute!
