Episode Overview
Kusanagi visits the prime minister, bringing a special delivery: a cell phone from Kunakida. Kunakida uses it to urge government officials to trust the TAC's ability to eliminate the Arigami without putting Momiji at risk. He pleads for them to allow the TAC a chance to save her. The prime minister then discloses that an Arigami spy within the government leaked Momiji's photos to the press, and they have yet to find out who it is. Meanwhile, chaos reigns across Japan, with volcanoes erupting and vegetation growing uncontrollably. The public is demanding that Momiji be detained, expressing their frustration with the government's inability to act. As work on the Kushinada pulse progresses, the TAC discovers that the key to Kushinada's blood is linked to a mysterious melody shared by Momiji and Kaede. Remembering Kaede mentioning the matsuri rite, Momiji requests to be taken to the ceremony's location.
