Caroline in the City (1995)

Episode Overview

After three months, Caroline considers hiring a new assistant, prompting Charlie to prove he's the right fit by accidentally sending Salty crashing through a window. Meanwhile, a spark ignites between Caroline and the young vet who treats Salty, even as she grapples with the age difference—he's only 24. Richard, having returned to New York after failing as an artist in Paris (where his only sale ended in disaster), finds himself stuck working at an ice cream shop. He narrowly misses Caroline on her first date with Joe, during which they get arrested for breaking into an animal testing facility, alongside Shelly, who still harbors feelings for Richard. The next morning, Caroline wakes up next to Joe and, after a brief encounter with Richard on her way home, they unexpectedly cross paths.
