Episode Overview
Joe declines to join Caroline at an award ceremony, citing a sponsor's use of animal products as his reason. Frustrated, she reaches out to Willard, a former date she ended things with for his weight and baldness. Meanwhile, Charlie mistakenly takes Willard to a Jewish singles event, and Del fabricates a story about his heritage to impress a woman whose parents only permit her to date Jewish guys. Willard arrives transformed, intending to tell Caroline off, declaring, "And I’m rich too!" Caroline warns Del that if he spends a weekend with Risa without revealing the truth, she’ll find out since he’s clearly a “turtleneck kind of guy.” Del then fakes needing a tonsillectomy, but Risa comes to share that she’s eloping with her ex, who isn't Jewish. A hesitant Richard takes Caroline to the event and reluctantly dances with her. Just as they seem to connect, Joe shows up unexpectedly.
