In "Skin Deep," McMurphy employs some guilt and a touch of blackmail to persuade K.C. to meet a severely disfigured soldier. Meanwhile, Holly, the fresh-faced doughnut dolly, encourages the nurses to take part in a Miss China Beach beauty pageant on behalf of the Red Cross Volunteers. Frankie finds herself in the motor pool but encounters Sarge Pepper, who seems less than thrilled about her presence there.
