Episode Overview

Bravo Company embarks on another dangerous mission, and the new point man halts the patrol upon spotting blood. He follows the trail, only to fall victim to a hidden booby trap. With him gone, Taylor steps up to take point despite being close to finishing his tour. He narrowly survives a confrontation with an NVA machine gun nest, managing to take it out. As he grapples with mixed feelings about returning home, Taylor finds that his dread for Vietnam is rivaled only by the troubling reality awaiting him back in the States. After receiving a “Dear John” call, he decides to extend his service for another tour.
