Episode Overview

During a routine patrol, the team encounters CIA recruiter Jim Doyle, who has a cache of Russian sniper rifles and insists that their meeting is purely coincidental. It's clear that Goldman and his squad have been roped into acting as Doyle’s escort out of the jungle. On their way out, they are ambushed, managing to recover most of the rifles. However, Zeke and Myron are puzzled as to why Montagnards, a group typically loyal to Americans, would attack them. Goldman decides to dig deeper into Doyle’s background and recruits Alex for assistance. Doyle, sensing the investigation, pressures Zeke to persuade Goldman to back off. Meanwhile, McKay urges Goldman to consider a safer role “for Alex’s sake.” Additionally, Taylor is frustrated when Sergeant Smith receives his stripes before Johnson, suspecting that race plays a role in the decision.
