Episode Overview

Colonel Harry Connelly is in the running for the Medal of Honor after successfully executing a precise bombing of a radar station in Italy, skillfully avoiding the nearby church. With an impressive record of 43 skip bombing missions across Europe and the Pacific, Connelly is called back from Transitional Training in London for one final operation. He and Gallagher devise a plan for a solo mission in a B-25, while the rest of the group creates a diversion. During training, Connelly struggles initially but ultimately hits the target six times. However, on the actual mission, he miscalculates and drops bombs on the wrong house, resulting in the deaths of Allied officers. Axis Sally reports the incident, causing Connelly to lose his composure and lash out at Gallagher. General Britt then orders Gallagher to execute a saturation bombing of the building, despite the risk to the POWs held nearby.
