Quincy, M.E. (1976)

Episode Overview

An elderly man passes away in the Valleyview sanatorium, apparently from a heart-related issue. However, his grandson, David, is skeptical about the cause of death and hires the Medical Examiner's office to conduct an autopsy. Quincy examines the body and informs David that everything appears normal. Just when it seems the case is closed, a young girl named Anne Freedman also dies at the sanatorium under mysterious circumstances. This prompts Quincy to consider the unsettling possibility that someone might be carrying out 'mercy killings' on suffering patients.
